A beautiful apartment for 4 people. The ancient centre of town overlooking Teatro Marcello in a 18th century building which carries the historic look but is modern and tastefully furnished.
The Apartment
The main lounge is small and very comfortable, of approximately 4 x 5 metres, with wooden beam ceilings, and sofa and chair. The kitchen is compact but complete with full cooking facilities like any normal home. In the lounge there is a small dining table and chairs. The main bedroom a full size double bed and plenty of wardrobe space. The bathroom has a toilet and bidet, and a modern large shower unit and system, an also has the washing machine. The second bedroom has two single beds in it.
Access and Environment
The apartment itself is on the 2nd floor (no lift). The front door overlooks small cobbled street (no cars) and the other side of the apartment overlooks another smaller inner courtyard. It is very traquil and very oldy worldy. From the outside, the building looks very smart (inside and outside has just been refurbished) but keeps the charm of "genuine" historic buildings. Out onto the street there are a number of book stores, antique shops and artisans, and there are many many famous restaurants down the various rabbit warren laid out small cobbled streets.
The Location
The apartment is located in the historic centre between Campo di Fiori, Trastevere, and the Roman Forum. It is one of the most historic areas of the old city. The area is mainly residential, and is home to many very interesting restaurants and trattoria. Transport is adequate but almost every site in Rome is within a short walk of the apartment.

The main features of this apartment is its location and the building itself. What it is, what it was, and what it is surrounded by. This is a very beautiful area that like other pockets in the centre of Rome, has its own life and vitality.
